At the invitation of Mr. Naser Alganim, the Consul General of Kuwait in Hong Kong, Xu Shilong, Vice Chairman of the China Association of Inventors and Chairman of Shanghai Geoharbour Group, visited Kuwait from September 16th to 22nd. He was warmly received by Ambassador Zhang Jianwei, the Chinese Ambassador to Kuwait.

During this visit, the delegation extensively visited various departments and institutions, including the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), Ministry of Electricity and Water, Ministry of Public Works, Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR), Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA), Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA), Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the prominent Kuwaiti business conglomerate Fouad Alghanim & Sons Group of Companies. They had comprehensive discussions on Kuwait's Vision 2035 and the development plans of the relevant departments.

Vice Chairman of the China Association of Inventors, and Chairman of Geoharbour Group, Xu Shilong, fully introduced the scientific and technological achievements of China's 40 years of reform and opening up, the establishment of the World Federation of Inventors' Associations, serving the livelihood of the people along the "Belt and Road" initiative, and the achievement of 1.7 million invention patent results in China per year.
